Braised Restaurant & Bar settles into Leslieville in Toronto's east end. The focus is on slow cooked comfort food, using local and seasonal products. "Raised and braised" dishes are available for lunch, dinner and brunch on weekends. A trendy spot for private parties, semi-private events and grabbing a casual bite with friends.
Their eclectic, modern decor is thanks to their connection to local artists from the GTA. You can see pieces from Mark Gleberzon, Stan Olthuis, Andrea Rinaldo and Andrea Rinaldo. It's worth popping in just to see the amazing artwork, but trust us you'll want to stay for the food. The laid back, inviting atmosphere is just one of our favourite things about this must see Toronto hotspot.
We actually met the owner Sam through his past restaurant, the Danforth hotspot Lolita's Lust. He is a huge supporter of the arts in many ways... featuring local artists and DJ's and allowing new filmmakers to take over his restaurant to shoot their first short film (cough, cough). We shot our first short film, 'How Not To Look For Love" at Lolita's and couldn't have asked for a better experience.
If you loved Lolita's as much as we did, you will truly love Braised. The food is incredible and the hospitality is on point. We are SO THRILLED to be connecting with Sam again for Rabbit Hole and can't wait to show off the exclusive pre-fix menu he has created for our show.
